Applications

The laser trimming system features multiple adjustment functions. It can trim thin‑film resistor networks, capacitor networks, and ceramic‑based thin‑film integrated components, as well as realize functional adjustment of hybrid integrated circuits. Examples include: ● Chip resistor trimming (01005, 0201, 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 2010, 2512); ● Thickfilm circuit trimming (for midtohighend applications including automotive electronics, sensors, aerospace and military integrated circuits, communication electronics, instruments, heating tubes, industrial electronics, highfrequency and highpower microwave circuits); ● Circuit function trimming (adjusting circuit output voltage, current and other functional signals); ● Trimming of thinfilm circuits, thinfilm resistors, and more.

Brief Description

The laser trimming system focuses an ultra‑fine laser beam on the thick‑film resistor. Following pre‑programmed computer instructions, the beam trims the resistor to alter its cross‑sectional area, thereby adjusting the resistance value. Meanwhile, a high‑speed measurement system monitors the resistance in real time to ensure it approaches the target value. Once the resistance reaches the target, the laser beam is shut off to achieve precise resistor trimming.
